Celebrate one last time on Tuesday, February 28 with our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at 6 p.m.
Our Ash Wednesday service will be March 1 at 7 p.m.

Be sure to check out our Special Lenten Series on finding God in quiet and silence.  This formation opportunity will be offered following the service on three Sundays: March 5, March 26, and April 2.

ECW Lenten Quiet Day, March 16
“Searching for Light: Living by the Parables”
The Episcopal Churchwomen of the Diocese of Virginia will offer Lenten Quiet Day with a program from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on March 16 at the Roslyn Conference and Retreat Center, Richmond. The event will be led by The Rev. Thom Blair, interim rector, St. James’ Church, Richmond and music led by Martha Buford, director of Music, St. John’s Richmond.  Please let Emily know as soon as possible if you would like to attend so she can RSVP.

Challenge yourself to bring a canned good or other pantry food item every Sunday of Lent!  St. John’s will continue contributing to the food bank, and your food donations or dollars go far to help the area’s hungry.  This is a great spiritual discipline to undertake during the season of Lent, as we remember our call as Christians to serve and care for each other.
